Scuffs on my Cam Plate???

Scuffs on my Cam Plate???

I was tearing my car down so I can swap cams and when I got the cam sprocket off, I had scuffs on my Cam Plate, why?

I took it off and I have similar but smaller ones on the back side of the plate. Is this normal? Should I be concered?

Hmmm. I can't remember if mine was scuffed when I took it off, but I don't think it was. Torque the sprocket down too tight, maybe? My personal opinion....throw a turbocharger on it and forget about it.

BTW, what cam are you swapping in there?
