Is this the correct part number for the rear plastic plug?

Is this the correct part number for the rear plastic plug? Need part number for the plastic plug that goes in the rear block for the oil bypass. Looks like a barbell with a o-ring on one side. I searched and found tons of part numbers for the whole engine and I would assume its this one but I'm not sure:

Did some more searching and I think I found it:
12558340 (old part number)
Hope thats correct.
Update:
Just called the dealer and they said its been changed to
12573460 (new part number)

I just purchased the new plug today (new part number). This should help the oil loss problem that was talked about in another thread.
I attached the picture showing both pieces.
Brown = old 12558340
white = new 12573460
BTW- The new plug fits in the block and sits flush so the stock rear cover fits over with no problems.

Is this how your plug was installed? Mine had the rounded side facing
out, and the o-ring inside the block an inch or two. My GM service manual
shows the rounded end with an o-ring installed first. My plug looks the same
as yours with the o-ring on the flat side. How are these installed?
FYI- My shortblock is new and the plug could have been installed wrong.

The o-ring is installed towards the rear of the block so installed last just like those pictures shows. Not sure why the manual shows the other way but that is definitely wrong. Is there anyway you can scan that page of the manual? Just curious why the would show that.

They show a dark line on the plug which could be the o-ring but its a mistake in the drawing:
The o-ring is on the skinny part of the plug. Just look at the pics I took. They still show the plug in the correct way, just with the o-ring on the wrong end.

when this plug is installed, should the o ring be inside the bore? mine is just pushed in and not inside the bore. the oring is on the surface and not inside the bore, looking at the diagram it looks like it should be inside the bore by.55". anyone have a pic of it installed. THANKS
