Default Should I be worried about this?

The other day I raised my car for a common oil change. This is what I found, but aren't sure if this is extremely bad. My homeboy just told me that the paint on the bar wiped off and this rust is normal. Any suggestions?

Your "homeboy" doesn't have a clue. What is a homeboy anyway? Paint just doesn't wipe off for no reason. That looks like something ate it off, like maybe battery acid. That area of the suspension is right under the battery tray, I would look there first.

as stated above, your battery is most likely leaking.

Yeah you're right about the batt leak. I noticed when I checked the engine bay. I dont know what or how it was leaking but its not anymore. I'll just give it a few more days checking up on it to see if it still leaks. Then clean, paint and replaced bushings. Thanks guys
