Default MS3 guys a few?'s

I am going with a bigger cam this spring/summer and the MS3 is what I am going with unless something else catches my eye. Here's the questions. What are your shifting at (A4 trans) what is your rev limit set at, and what rpm are you making peak hp? I searched but the dynochart posted by TSP had the rpms skeewed. Haven't heard any details since. The reason I ask is so I'll know whether or not I'll need to get the ARP rodbolts. It all depends on how high I'll have to spin this puppy. Also it will be on stock heads. I'm currently shifting the TSP 225 at 6500 with the limiter set at 6800, of course I never tap it. Thanks guys.

The Cam make it's peak power at like 6500 so you'll need to shift at 6800 or 6900 rpm...

No need for rob bolts my buddy with a g5x3 spins his to 7+ daily for a few months now and he still hasn't thrown a rod.

Thanks, this is the kind of info I'm looking for. I was hoping to be able to shift around 6800 or so and set the limiter to 7000. Keep it coming fellas, all input is appreciated, and I see I'm not the only one curious about these questions.

Stupid question, but I am also looking at a MS3, or g5x3. How difficult is it to do a set of rod bolts, and is it real good insurance for 7000 rpm's, or does it just prolong throwing a rod?

Id be more concerned with spinning a rod bearing. If you plan on spinning it to 7000rpm on a regular basis, plan to break things. Just my opinion, from experience of course

Well, I actually have a daily driver, and really don't abuse it too much. The thing has never even been to the track. What are some other things I could do for added insurance?

As far as I know the rodbolt install isn't that difficult. You just remove the oil pan and turn the engine over to get to the different rod bolts. If there's more to it someone please correct me. But that's what I've been told anyway.

Yes, you can change the rod bolts simply by lowering the Kmember and dropping the oil pan.
