Valve Noise Question
Valve Noise Question I'm going to look at an LS1 or LS6 car this week end, it has some unknown valve noise. It has the corvette covers, I suspect it is an LS1, I won't know till I get to look at it. What are the causes of this type of noise in the these engines. Also this car has had this engine swapped into it. Any advice would be great.

on late model vortec engines the roller rockers have horrible roller needle clearance problems.there is actually a tech memo on finding needles in the pan upon oil changes (they sometimes are so loosely fit,they fall out)Even looking at new ones leaves no doubt the noise comes from loose fitment of the components.
