My friends and I have a total of 2 ls1, a 5.3, and a 6.0.
I found that all 4 engines have the same crankshaft casting number.
both the LS1's have been drilled down the center of the crankshaft, and a freez plug installed behind the piolet bearing. the 5.3 and 6.0's are solid in the middle.
anyone know anything about this?
also the lifters in the LS1 were lighter then those found in my 6.0
like most stock roller lifters the 6.0 has metal all around the roller end.
the ls1 had half of the roller exposed..are all ls1 liftersl ike this?
