Removed intake.. checked real good for leaks.
Installed new coolant temp sensor.. and problem still persists.
Will hold a decent idle if you keep your foot on the gas working it... but that is about it.
CAr still shoots up high around 3000 on startup.

did you send your computer to allen or did he send one to you....maybe something got messed up there.....my buddy got a mail order from TSP and his **** would randomly surge and die and not start then work again ended up being the computer....but if that were the case i do not see how it would shoot to 3000+

Start the car and let to idle at its 3800rpm or what ever it wants. Then take a can of carb cleaner and spray around the intake seal. If the idle changes then you found your leak. I had to do this on my Stealth because I didn't see that the wire holder tab got between my intake and seal when I bolted it down after changing plugs.

the same thing happened to me when i started my car after it had set for most of the winter.and one of my header tubes on the passenger side was glowing orange!i shut it off and restarted it,and the problem went away.that was two years ago and it hasn't happened again.no vacum leaks anywhere.i never found out what caused it to do that.have you scanned it to check for any codes?
