Default What Is The Difference Between '99 and '02 Valve Seals??

I am going to be tearing into the engine here in a few weeks, and was wandering what the differences between the '99 and '02 valve seals were. While I'm in there I'm going to replace them and I have a few questions.

1. Are the '02 seals better?

2. Will they work on a '99?

3. If so, should I put the '02 seals in or just replace them with the '99's?

4. Also, will I need anything besides the '02 valve seals to put them on a 99?

Sorry for all the questions, but I am trying to figure out which ones to get and what all I will need. Thanks.

The 02 seals combine the spring seat and the seal in one piece. They will work on any year LS1 or LS6 head. If you use them you need to remove the spring seat that is on the head now. The spring seats on the 02 seal are .010 thicher than the 98-01 spring seats and will change the installed height of the spring by .010 and give you slightly more spring pressure. Here are the part #s for the 02 seals.
Ex. 12482062
In. 12482063

They are sold in pkgs of 8.
