Default comp 850-16 lifter

i'm pulling the comp r's and installing these lifters, and does it matter which way the hole on the side of the lifter faces

I have heared from many that I't does not matter. BTW those lifters are working out realy well so far.(less than 1K miles)they are very quiet and the car even with low timing right now pulls like a ****.

good deal, whats the preload on these lifters i have adjustable rockers and need to know how many turns i need to go
