Suggestions for head/cam setup?

Suggestions for head/cam setup? OK everyone, here's the deal. In 6-8 weeks my new Schoch Performance heads will be here. They will be fully ported/polished 5.3L heads, very nice flowing heads. Unsure of what cam I am going with till the heads are flow tested, but I'm going with a big one to hit 400+rwhp.
Besides suspension, converter, rearend, tranny, and other big money items...what should I do to the car to get ready for the setup?
I'm going to run a ported LS1 intake first, then upgrade to a ported LSX or LS6 intake, so that is taken care of as well.
So for smaller priced items that will help squeeze a little more out, what should I look for?
