Default advancing cam timing...

I have a Comp Cams hex adjust timing set. Which way do you turn the key to advance or retard the timing? Advancing the timing will make the valve timing points happen later in the cycle? So if your intake opens at 5 degrees BTDC advancing it 4 degrees makes it open 1 degree BTDC?

Does anyone have the instruction sheet from any of the adjustable timing sets?

Just recieved a fax from Comp Cams on their timing set.

If you move the keyway to the these notches here is what you have:
9:00 = 6 degrees advance
10:00 = 4 degrees advance
11:00 = 2 degrees advance
12:00 = 0
1:00 = 2 degrees of retard
2:00 = 4 degrees of retard
3:00 = 6 degrees of retard

If you move the Crank gear Dot CCW will be retarding (moving RPM peak to a higher RPM) and CW will be advancing(moving RPM preak to a Lower RPM). If that's what your asking.
