Default beefing up bottom end while adding more hp?

im new to the shortblock world..

but long story short, my cam bearings went south and the bottom ends coming out for rebuild. Im hoping just the cam bearings are bad, but while im in there whats some basic work to do to strengthen the bottom end to hold solid power. I have a F11 cam going in to replace the 224 cam. The car already has TEA 1.5 heads 11:1 CR on it.

so gimmie some ideas on what to do thats somewhat cost efficient(if thats such a thing lol).

Would be nice to free up some HP also while its out.. but i dont have big bucks to spend so factor that in also.

any help/ideas would be greatly appriecated!

Basically, you need forged pistons, forged connecting rods and better rod bolts.

Call the sponsors here --------->

You can have a forged 347 for under 3000. Add another grand and you can have a 382, 383 or 395.

I thought forged parts were heavier and only helped add HP when you shoot them with N2O... That N/A they lost power because they weigh more...

I'm curious about this, too

i just wanna replace/strengthen the main parts.. im not looking to rev to the moon, but I want something to hold up for a good while with the lil cam and heads I have since im in the bottom end now lol

would be nice to squeeze some more hp out, but this is getting expensive

I have no idea what I'm going to use when I do my bottom end, but I know it'll be as light as I can afford. Even with just new stock-type internals and some ARP rod bolts and I'll be able to rev as high as I want to
