what size are the valves and combustion chambers in stock 5.3 heads?

how many different heads do they put on 5.3 motors? i have seen trucks with a 706 casting number and a 862 casting number. are they the same thing

706/862 are the head castings they use on the 4.8/5.3, they are both the same.

can i run a thinner head gasket and stock ls1 2.0 valves on a stock bore 5.3

yup. you can use up to 2.04" on the intake without changing the seats.

what kind of power could i expect on a 99 scsb pickup with a fipk, gibson shorties, 160 thermostat, underdrive pullies, e fans, a tr224, stock heads milled with 2.0 intake valves
