PCV Vent hose on Drivers valve cover
Ok I noticed that my drivers side valve cover in the back doesnt have the rubber grommet and the PCV hose has something stuck in it. I think my mechanic did that for a temporary fix cause I switched to the 99 valve covers. would this effect oil pressure at all???

The PCV system pipe fitting on the drivers side rear valve cover is indeed different from your old 98 covers and the newer centerbolt covers.
However, whatever your mechanic did to it, the PCV system will NOT effect oil pressure. Has nothing to do with the engine's pressurized oil system.

I don't have a clue as to what your mechanic did to the PCV system. Is the driver's side rear PCV tube even hooked up to the fitting on the valve cover? Is it just hanging there?
You also have a PCV tube hooked into the rear pass. side cover. Is that hooked up.
I'm sorry, but if you have oil pressure problems, you will need to look somewhere else besides to PCV system.
Hook all the PCV system hoses up correctly if they are not at this time. That PCV system evacuates fumes from your crankcase and really is needed.
Good luck,

The PCV hose is not hooked up its pluged with some bolt or something. I'm pulling the motor so when it goes back I will make sure i hook this up

If your pulling the motor, you might want to put the LS6 PCV system on it. jmX just wrote another exccelent "how-to" about this.
