Default What springs for this camshaft?

Its a FMS 230/236 I'm not sure the rest of the specs. I bought it used w/ about 1000 miles on it from a friend who went to a much larger fms cam. I was wondering if the 918's would be sufficent for this?

I'm not familiar enough with the FMS cams to know which one it is FM11,FM12 or whatever.

I doubt it is over .600 lift so 918's should be fine.

f11 is 228/230 and f12 is 230/230.. f13 is 230/232 and f14 is 232/234...

a f9 is 232/236 which sounds like somethin similar to urs.. all the fms cams are in or around .600 lift, 918's will prolly do fine but id suggest some duals for added saftey, up to you though.

I have the F12 (230/230 .595"/.595") and FMS recommended dual springs. Do you know the lift #'s on your cam?

I guess I need to call Allan next week and ask him.... I was told the numbers on the camshaft when the engine was built and I just can't remember. Its close to 600 i believe.

I'm running Patriot Gold duals with my F11, not because 918's wouldn't handle the cam, but because I figured that I would get more miles out of a set of springs before I changed them. Also I still can't get used to the idea of a single spring, I guess I'm old school, but I like the safety factor of having a double spring, less chance of a broken spring causing PtoV contact. Also by the time you price out a set of 918's with titanium retainers & seals, the Patriots are about the same price for the whole kit.
