Here is the best article that I have ever found on porting LS1 heads without runining velocity and swirl http://www.babcox.com/editorial/ar/eb120118.htm. This is by the master himself, Joe Mondello.

Read it about four times. Enlarge and print the pictures.

To be honest that article is pretty elementary. Not nearly as in indepth as Vizard.

Brandon,
I have David Vizard's book How to Build & Modify Chevrolet Small-Block V-8 Cylinder Heads however, it does not speak to the LS1 heads at all. The original post in this thread stated that the friend was very experienced in porting but had never done an LS1 specifically and wanted some information on that.

Maybe by now, David has done a book that includes LS1 heads for improved street performance but not a hawg-out for all-out CFM numbers. Do you know if he has published anything on LS1 specifically?
