I was wondering how hard it is to put a new cam in. How much would it cost to get a new one installed? Is getting a new cam worth the money?

 

Putting a cam in is pretty easy and it is worth doing. I would advise you to get all the bolt ons first. If you don't have them already that is. Check out www.LS1howto.com there is a great cam install guide on that site. Follow it step by step and you can't go wrong.
