does anyone know what that little bump is for in the runner of the exhaust port? You can see it on one of the before pictures I took!

I reccomend reading a few books like how to build & modify chevrolet small block heads the concepts are pretty much the same. you can find it at borders book stores..I get all my porting material from www.Ruffstuff.com they are located in sacramento C.A. Good luck and stay off the floors

The bump is for water jacket clearance through that area just behind the valve guide boss. Be real careful in that area, just blend it into the roof of the port, do not remove any material than needed.

Just got the results today and these also went 272 @ .600 and with a pipe went 222 on the exhaust and my usual 200+ without. There is room for improvement and had some insite from the person that flowed this one and will continue on with my passion. They cced out at 218/82.
