rocker question
i have been seeing all of these threads were people say aftermarket rockers are not worth it and are causing valve float and preload issiues, and are heavier than stock. now i'm wondering if i should go back to my stock rockers. my setup is
valvetrain mods
pp stage 2 heads with 650 gold springs
7.400 pushrods
comp 222/224 566/568 112
comp oe lifters
comp pro 1.75 rockers
i know the 1.75's are making my lift 582/584 now, is this really gonna help any, i'm i seeing any gains with these rockers, should i go back to the stockers

I say the opposite of him. Stick with the pro mags....less friction and Higher RELIABILITY let alone more lift. Call comp and get the exact preload for you combo and you will be way better off.

The 1.75's are the way to go. I've had them on my last two motors. On my last one I was trying to track down a problem so I took my 1.75's off for a week and put the stickers back on. I lost a ton of power with the stockers. You could feel the difference..seat of the pants...which is a loss of torque. That rocker is balanced so, it doesn't feel the extra weight of the rocker. With the comp lifters you are running your adjustments will be zero lash plus a half turn.
