Default G5x3

what kind of H.P. could I expect to see with this cam and stock 98 heads?

Will this be too much cam with the bottle?

With stock heads and LS1 intake, I'm guessing 400rwhp with all bolt-ons. 410 with LS6 intake. I heard the G5X3 loves nitrous.

Stock ls1 intake is going to choke that cam up a good bit.. he might even pick up 20 rwhp by throwing an ls6 intake on that with a good tune. Definitely a good cam tho... only other brand of cams I would consider other then my beloved Futral cam.

I agree, both are really good cams. You can see in my sig that I replaced a G5X2 with a FMS cam. I had a lot of fun with the LG cam but I'm loving this Futral cam so far.

the g5x3 is a decent nitrous cam, as well as n/a... with full bolt ons you should see over 400rwhp

superslow, which FMS cam did you get and how does it compare to your X2 (power, driveability, lope, rwhp, torque, track times)?

Nice first post.

Big cams with good tuning will walk any smaller cam. I have had the 224 and even the 230 cams and they just cannot hold a candle to a properly developed large duration cam.

Back to the topic at hand, 98s just never seem to make hp. I would expect 400 easily with the LS6 intake and LTs with the other additional bolt ons

How bout an A4 with this cam?
I currently have all bolt ons - LT's - LS6 intake and a 3500 stall.

I am currently running a small TR 220 / 220 .563 .563 @112+4 and dynoed @ 343 and 340.

I was @ LG today kicking around this cam & some AFR's (205's).
I was told that i would be well over 400HP with a good tune.

What say you?

You would definatly be over 400 w/ the G5X-3 and a set of AFR's.

my friends 98's T/A put down 395rwhp w/ a g5x3 on 114 lsa.

i'm hoping to hit 410rwhp w/ my 2001 z06 w/ the same cam.. if indeed the ls6 heads on my car are worth any power.
