Selecting a cam I was needing some guidance on getting a cam for ny 98 Trans Am. I don't really know that much about cam specs and all that. I was wondering what is the biggest cam i could get for my car without having to change out the springs, rockers, or anything else. Thanks for any input that you guys could provide.

I'm a newbie, but your going to need to change your springs no matter what, so you may as well start researching what cams are out there. Even if you went with the LS6 cam, which is pretty mild, you'll still need to swap springs. You can reuse the stock rockers, but you'll want to change out the pushrods. Titanium retainers are recommended but pry not as critical if you go with a mild cam that doesn't have alot of lift if you are short on cash.
