Oil pressure problem / ?
I'm a little paranoid about my car but it seems that the oil pressure is much lower than it use to be.
At idle it goes as low as 20. When I tap the throttle it doesn't always jump up like I thought it did.
Can you let me know what is normal for idle and also cruising (2000rpms)?
Is it worth changing the oil. I recently had the engine built and the lifters had turned so maybe debris?
Thanks

I'd be concerned if it is staying at 20 psi when driving. I've heard as long as you have 10 psi for every 1000 rpms your ok. Mine is about 40 psi at idle and 60 cruising w/ castrol 0w-30, which was a significant increase from the Mobil 1 i was using.
What do you mean by the engine was rebuilt? If it was rebuilt there shouldn't be any debris.

Thanks for the responses. Maybe it's not as bad as I thought. At cruise it's 30-35. I'm using 0-40 mobil 1. I thought it used to idle just below 40 and go past 40 at cruise.
When the a few lifters turned sideways on the cam the roller was flattened out. All that metal was gone as well as gouging the cam.
