Arrow Help with a problem please.

My brother just had NX kit put on his car and it was on the dyno to tune it. When they were making a pull once they got above 5000 rpms everything started going crazy. He said once it got over 5000 rpms the timing went crazy it retarded the timing to -62*. He also said the guages were going crazy. Sorry for the lack of description, thats all that he could remeber.
This car just had a torque converter put in right before the nitrous was put on. The car was driven to the place that installed the kit but it was never floored so we dont' know if it happened then or during the nitrous install. Have any of you guys ever had this happen? Any ideas where to start? This is very wierd. The car is a 99 Camaro SS A4 with a SS 3600, TSP 224R, LT headers, LS6 intake, PP stage-2 LS6 heads. Like I said someone just put a NX kit on the car and put it on the dyno and everything started messing up. Any help will be appreciated!

Thanks Charles. He figured it out. One of the starter wires was touching the header. Causing it to short out.
