Crank Position Relearn Necessary?
I know this question gets asked on a regular basis, but I've searched to no avail. A little over a year ago, my car would crank but not fire. It did this for several days before it eventually did nothing but turnover. I replaced both the crank and cam sensors, but still the car did nothing but turnover.
After replacing both of the sensors and attempting to start the car multiple times with no success, I replaced the ignition relay and the car fired up immediately.
I have not had a crank position relearn performed, as I don't I have any SES codes relating to the crank position sensor. However, the car is making less power than I feel it should (405 RWHP with a T-ReX, tune, and all bolt-ons).
Given that the crank was never moved while the crank sensor was off of the car, is there any reason I would need a crank position relearn?
Thanks Much,
Josh
