Default Heads and cam recommendations

This past summer, I dropped a valve comming back into town on my number 7 cylinder on my 00 WS6 and am looking so rebuild with some extra HP. Thanks to the Dealer that I brought it to, they told Pontiac it had modifications done(lid, exhaust and a few other bolt ons). I know alot about cars, and those mods dont drop valves;I got screwed outta warrenty. Im looking for head and cam information and brands etc to get so I can get maximum HP gain, but streetable yet. Since Im outta warrenty now, Im going to rebuild it myself. Any suggestions or ideas is appreciated.

Don't feel bad, I screwed on my warrenty also.

What is streetable to one person is not to the next! If you have a M6, you can get away with more cam without losing driveability. I think for most people, a cam with less than 230 deg duration is streetable, but for some with a high tolerance, a 240 is OK. Very few people would have problems with a 224 or less cam, especially on a 114 LSA.

Default POWER, but driveable

Im looking at getting maximum power outta my car, but making it able to drive to cruises etc. I am trying to make it run with the big boys as much as I can, but not to the point where I cant drive it on the street. I wanna keep same compression, cuz I will be running it down the road yet. With the manual, I can control driveablility.
