Question about Moore valve spring tool
Will this tool work ok on double springs and without removing the heads? Been reading some posts that go both ways (yes and no) and just need some more input. We are doing my cam swap tomorrow, and was able to borrow this tool from a friend.
If not, what other one would you guys recommend? I read about a NAPA tool (SER912) that was supposed to work ok. Any thoughts?
Thanks for the help.

Should have posted in the tools section as well, but....
Larry's tool works GREAT! Dbls, sgls, dont matter. Exellent tool.
I used the Moore tool, bent the **** out it on new singles, and had little aluminum shavings all over, POS! It can work with Dbls, but I will not use one ever again.

My bud & I on here(BLKWS6) have done 20+ cam installs for members on this board, and we use both the More tool and the Larry tool(unless we drop the motor, for additional work) the more tool is great for the "front springs" before you start getting under the cowl and having to add extentions, its usually faster than the Larry, but once under the cowl the Larry tool cant be beat, i have found that after multiple installs, the nut on the Larry tool will start to "eat" into the metal plate,we started using a small bearing under the nut to combat this.

If you are going to spend $40 to purchase this tool, you should look at the Crane tool which compresses TWO springs at once and is almost as compact.
