Default If you had your choice? (cam selection)

First off:
The motor is an 02 LS1 mated to a 6spd. running long tubes with ORPs, SLP 345hp lid and TR55s.

Custom heads will be going on with the cam install. Heads will be 5.3 with 2.05" intakes and should place the CR at about 11:1.

Cams;

Comp XE-R 231/237 .589/.595 112LSA

TR 230/236 .590/.598 112LSA

Futral F13 230/232 .595/585 112LSA

Rear gears will be changed to 410:1 this summer.

Let me hear your opinions so I can do this right!

The F13 has been putting down good numbers lately with good heads. The Thunder cam looks to be a nice one also.

Spray or no spray? What do the heads flow from .100-.600? Daily driver?
Those are all 3 different cams, even though they have similar numbers, so you are going to get different results no doubt. Especially since the first 2 have dominate lift/duration on the exhaust side, with the latter closer to even split with intake lift being dominate.

No spray, I don't have flow numbers yet, but they should be competitive with any stage II or better.

Car is not a daily driver, but is driven often for fun. I've got other vehicles for bad weather, grocery getting etc.

Looking for a rumpy idle with good power mid to top.

With that being the case, why not go a little bigger? Get the cam I have, or a Magic Stick.

*BOOM* as the valves bounce off the pistons. Did you notice the 2.05 intake valve, and 11:1 compression? Which means there is around a .025 mill in there too. I say the Thunder 230/236. Would be nice to have on a 112 LSA though.

Already been noted, possible flycutting required
