You can absolutey get 400 rwhp, stock heads, with a 224 on an M6. Not that everyone's will, but it's certainly been done. You will need all the bolt-ons and a good tune, though.

I'm gonna shoot for 400rwhp with the magic stick first, stock TB, MAF, pulley and bellow, may add bo;t ons to get 400 but TSP said it should make it no problem.

DO ported TBs add THAT much power? I just don't see it since its using the same blade. What yall think?

Ported TB's don't add THAT much power,, but every little bit helps. Some claim 4-8 rwhp. Honestly if I got 5 rwhp from mine I'd be pleased.

Who has made 400 horses on a 224 with stock heads and all the bolt on's. I will have a good tune and when I get ls6 and a lid I will bet barely over 400 or just under 400 and that is on a trex cam. Granted I could but a lsx 90/90 on it and be a little more over but still I do not think I have ever seen a 224 that made 400 on stock heads. Ported heads yes it is common, but again I can not think of a board member that has a setup like that

I made over 8 rwhp with the ONLY change being a ported & polished TB by Bo White. My car is also bone stock otherwise. You can see my dyno graph on his website at www.portsculptor.com. Also, a local heads/cam/converter car made almost 11 rwhp with the only change being one of Bo's TB's. Just FYI.

Trust me I know that there is something Wrong in my combo.

Is 400 dollars worth a throttle body that gives 8 to 11 horses......I guess if it is the only other mod that you could do and have money to just get rid of. Then I guess. IMO I would not purchase one.

Why would you spend $400 on a TB ? Port your stock one.

So 5-8hp at the wheels for a ported TB huh? Damn for $130 bucks thats hard to beat. Maybe I should look into that also this week. What about the MAF, any REAL power hiding in there?

Sir, I'm gonna have to ask you to put the dremel down and slowly step away from the MAF. That's it.. put it down.. nice and easy. Ok.

Leave the MAF alone. You have an M6, which is better than A4 for messing with the MAF, but it is still ill advised.

I'm not messing with it believe me. I am thinking of buying a ported TB and the smooth bellows pipe but thats about it. I don't know about the MAFs, not sure if there is much power in em. I have "heard" that there are guys making 500+rwhp NA with the stock MAF just descreened so.. I just wanna break 400hp, thats all. I have spent all my $$ so...hoping for the best. Car goes to G-Force on monday provided my stuff gets here tomorrow from TSP.
