Default M.A.P. sensor

I'm installing a new intake manifold on my SS. The senseor does not fit or stay in place in the back of the manifold anymore, and I was wondering would it hurt my engine or computer to just seal the small hole up and leave the sensor hanging behind the engine.

You can run a line to the MAP sensor, its best to keep the line short, and leaving it hanging is probably not the best idea, can you mount it someplace and run the line to it?
