Default Cam Question.

Ok I've searched and read for the past 4 hours, but there are just so many threads and I just have a few specific questions.

My car is my DD and will only be seeing bolt-ons. After I complete my exhaust I'm thinking about going with a cam. Something I'm guessing from the reading I've done around a 224/224 possibly. What's the best lift? I've seen some 224/224 cams with .575 of lift and some with about .588 or so. Which do you think I should go with?

I'm really just looking for a decent sized cam that will make great power with stock heads. Driveability is an issue because it's my DD, but I am looking for some type of lope.

Can you guys give me some suggestions. I'm been looking into Thunder Racing, Futural, and TSP cams. As of late I've been hearing a lot of good things about Futural.

Thanks in advance.

I like your sig. I have a Trans Am myself....not a WS6. my formy was a ws6...decided to save some money this time around lol.

now about cams.....the 224 cams aren't really different from eachother except from the lobes they use. personally i like cam motion lobes(Futral uses them). the difference between 575 and 588 lift isn't too much, but enough to notice after 35k miles.

Haha thanks man I got that **** all the time (regarding my sig).

But excuse my ignorance, but what would happen after 35K miles to notice a difference b/w the two lifts?

you might notice a little more wear on your springs, less pressure held by your springs after 35k miles.

Ahh I see. I also read that the higher the lift the more peak HP/top end you get. True?
