whats normal operating oil pressure in my 99 camaro z28

 

My 00, 60@ cold idle, 40@ warm idle, 60 to 70 at warm WOT.

 

mine at start up is at 40 and ride for a while and the car gets hot then it goes down to 20-25 hot idle

 

mine reads like conan's does.

 

um...I dont think that sounds very good...I wouldnt drive it much until have it checked

 

What type of oil do you use? for ex M1 5w30 is on the thin side and could be considered a 20wt. You could try M1 10w30, 0w40, or perhaps german castroil 0w30. Honestly 25 isn't going to do any damage, my 96 truck has hot idled around 20psi for years.

 

I wouldn't trust the stock gauge to be reallllll accurate. Yeah, I know, as long as the thing's there we're gonna look at it and wonder. I don't pay much attention to mine except when I first crank it, (to make sure the oil pump didnt crap out).
