engine knocking
engine knocking today i was on my way to the carwash and i heard a knocking sound so i turned around and went back home. i cut the car off and checked the oil it was low a half squart and i just changed my oil last saturday. so i tried to crank it back up and it wouldint start. i finaly got it started and it sounded horrible the engine was knocking and making all kinds of weird noises and the oil pressure gauge was reading zero. so i called a couple of local mechanics and they said that it was the oil pump but since it got to the point that it was knocking the engine is fucked.

it sounds like your engine is exactly what your mechanics said.... Fucked. but don't let this get you down; now you have a good excuse to build a strong bottom end and an improved valve train. Besides, you already got 150K miles out of that LS1.
