Help me! confused....

I am new to actually workin on the motor and stuff. I have an LS1, but i don't know if it's a 5.3 or 5.7....how do i know?...Will LS6 heads fit? It's a 99 camaro. and also will a 350 turbo transmission fit and work without problems? I'm workin on gettin my car quick....but i'm learnin as i go...Help me out...thanks for ANY putback

its a 5.7. you could put the transmisson in. you might want to post that in the transmisson section

also, ls6 heads will fit. all fbodies have the 5.7, unless they're a v6. the search button is your greatest friend on this board, get used to using it well

I have bought a 350 turbo trans housing and compared it with the 4l60e trans housing (just to explore things) i found out that the 350 could fit like a penuts.
