Best value in a heads/cam package is?
I was looking at the AFR205 and a comp cam 224/228 114LSA for my 2002 Z28 A4. What other heads cam combo could make similiar power for less $$$?
Thanks!!

Thats the key, simular power. The 205 head moves a crap load of air for a 205cc runner- especially down at low lifts, there are cheaper heads out there but you will have to decide what your real goals are and if the money spent will be worth the difference in power. You could run a F13 cam and my heads for about as cheap of a price as you could find and make 420 or better at the ground in a M6 car but there are some 450+ combos out there for alot more money. Just food for thought.

My Ported 6.0 heads from Absolute speed ran about 1200.00. Ofcourse that guy is harder to get ahold of then a fist full of diamonds. I used them with a TTP equalizer cam shaft and pulled 437 RWHP 405 TQ. Pulled real hard up top. Trapped 119 consistenly with stock TB and a few other missing Bolt ons. total was around 1,800.00 for everything.
This time around ill pick up the AFR 225's and a good FM cam for a 402

Call me next week.
I am going to announce a GP next week.
Our latest 1.5 program outflows and AFR 205 from .100 to .600 and is 5 cc's smaller than our last 1.5 head. Bang for the buck is what our 1.5 head is all about.

From my understanding, 5.3L raise compression, 5.7L keeps current compression, and 6.0L lowers compression(good for forced induction)
I'm looking at the AFR 225s 62cc for a wild 346ci with my G5X2. That should be a lot of fun, if it's even possible.

Most 6.0L heads have welded chambers which reduce compression. They come off the shelf, with welded chambers, as low as 59cc. This is what the LS6 "Style" heads are.

I meant off the shelf form the head porters' shelf (before milling).
