Default need help with heads and cam decision.

Hey guys I need help on deciding on what setup will be the best for my car. I have Jet hot lt's, ory, tsp rumbler cat back, egr free mod, and an fipk. I was thinking about going with the 224 cam and just porting my stock heads from my 98 ls1. Thinking about a Ls6 intake manifold but not sure yet. Thanks for any replies.

that sounds like a good idea if you want around 400-420rwhp...definatly get the ls6 intake though...it makes a big difference, especially with a heads/cam setup...i'm very happy with what's in my sig, except the cam lacks low-end...maybe the tune will pick it up a little..but this cam is known for it so it's nothing i didn't expect...depending on price you might want to check out some aftermarket ls6 heads...or afr's

Stick with the 224 for emissions, and a ls6 intake is a must. And everything that 777 said. You also might want to look into getting a set of 5.3 heads to go along with that cam.

98 heads aren't bad for a budget build but the valves need some extra work to flow well... or just upgrade to better valves.
