Default Eagle 4.10 vs Callies 4.125

As the title states, I'm looking for input and opinions on these 2 cranks.

I'm having an LS2 stroker built and was told today that the 4.10 Eagle is not currently available, due to problems. So I either go back to a 402 LS2 or go to a Callies to get the 415 motor that I wanted.

It kind of screws up the custom pistons we had ordered too. I guess I should be glad it never made it into my motor.

Is the Callies worth the extra $600 and is it a better quality crank than the Eagle?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Rampant

I think there are people using both brands of cranks with great results. My 408 has a Callies in it based on Quality and peace of mind.Im not a machinest but I know that in some cases Eagle cranks require more heavy metal to balance which will add more to the price..

The Eagle crank is fine. It may require a little more work from the engine builder but no where near $600 worth. I've got a friend that's an engine builder with a serious race car. It runs mid 5's in the 1/8th with an eagle crank and rods.

personally, I'd spend the extra for the Callies just for peace of mind.

not like the Eagle is gonna blow up considering even a stock crank is prolly good for 1000hp but I dont want little issues when my engine is being put together.
