Default LS1 vs LS2

Am going to build a 408. Firstly, would there be any advantage in going with an LS2 instead of an LS1? Also, is there an iron block ls2 out yet? I want to do a fairly substantial N20 direct port setup, 300, and i think iron is the way to go. Thanks!

If you want to be safe then i would look into the LQ4 or LQ9 block. They are the same block only diffrace is the pistons and u will be changing them.

If you use a ls1 block u will have to resleave the block and that will cost an arm and a leg and maby your first born.

Go and look on the slp`s 408ci 6 liter iron short block , even though , there prices looks fair to me . and u have the option of low and high compression.
