Default Is this healthy

I was changing my plugs today and happened to look at my catch can(sorta) and noticed I had a lot of oil caught in it. This is right at 3k miles since ive last changed it. Does the PCV really suck that bad, or do I have a problem.

Its not unheard of. How hard have you been driving it over the last 3000 miles. If they were gentle highway miles, you might have a problem. If you ran it up a number of times, its probably pretty normal. Id have that much after a couple of weeks if i'd been driving hard.

the stock PCV (of any kind) sucks for RPM......the little 3/8" line can't let the crank case vent like it should and in order for the air/pressure to get out, the velocity is quite high.....high velocity = lots of energy = can carry oil out.....

answer = remove PCV and install large breathers.....
