Default Do Cams wear out?

Just wondering b/c I am thinking about buying a cam but it has 20k miles on it. Does this mean that like a 1/5th or a 1/10th of its life is already gone? Or are they kinda like a last forever type of part (relatively speaking)

Like is their really much of a difference between a cam with say 3-5k miles on it and a cam with 20k miles on it?

Being that it is a hydraullic roller cam, they experience very little wear. You shouldnt have any problems with that cam.

They shouldn't really wear at all. My stock cam w/ 55k didn't have any type of wear to speak of. You could see where the lifters rolled but it wasn't a groove or anything like that.
