Misfire code after cam???

Misfire code after cam??? installed hot cam/headers can runs pretty good, kind of a rough idle, sometimes inconsistent, thinking about getting a tune, lotsa of people have told me to. Just today though after driving for awhile, check engine light came on, i stopped up at our service station and threw the tech 2 on it and i had a misfire code. Could having the hot cam throw this code? i have brand new ac delco spark plugs and wires(and i didn't cross them, durr if that's even possible 
) whats your inputs? get a tune, and it will never happen again? anything i can do for the time being to counter this, or is it not cam related? do i need more back pressure in the exhaust since its basically straight though?

First off, you don't need back pressure. It's a myth, don't believe anyone
who tells you ANY amount of back pressure is good for your engine.
Second, if the valve timing has changed significantly, you need to inform the
computer when to inject the fuel.
It may be sending a signal too soon (spraying on a closed valve), or too late
(lowering the effective compression charge).
A tune is essential.

if fuel is firing incorrectly, could this go away in WOT?
Most likely. If not, the dynamics will change as the injector goes to a near
full duty cycle.
At higher RPM, under performance conditions, the injector timing and pusle
width will change.
It still may not be optimal, but it may cover some low RPM/crusing mode
injector timing issues.

I had misfires after doing a head/cam swap. Two of my plug wires were damaged from the excess heat. It wasn't obvious until I removed them and they fell apart. Put stock wires back on with the heat shields and the misfires went away.
