Can someone please explain to me the difference between solid and hydrualic lift roller cam

Solid roller cams use solid roller lifters. They dont pump up with oil in order to take up and slack in the valvetrain. You have to set the lash manually via adjustable rockers. Since solid lifters wont collapse, you can run springs with insane seat and open pressures to keep the valves under control with some ridiculous sized cams. Many are in the .750 lift range, with some even higher.
