5.3 head question
5.3 head question this might be a stupid question but here goes, i have a set of new factory bare 5.3 heads and i was thinking about having them ported and fitted with ferrea valves but someone told me for them to work on the LS1 the combustion chambers need "grinded out" to fit up with the LS1 cylinders. can someone help me out and tell me what i need to do to get these to work on my car if anything at all
The combustion chambers will benefit from some porting to unshroud the valves, but it's not critical for good flow. Check out this thread to see how much potential is in the 4.8/5.3L heads with stock size valves.
