Default Gen III info...

as well as the new Northstar motor are broken down in the latest issue of HotRod. The LS1 article primarily deals with the block, casting numbers, and the variations and improvements that it has gone through. (I haven't done anything but skim it, looked good though as it was mostly excerpted). The other article was on the brand new Caddy Northstar that's going into the CTS, yes? Anyways, check 'em out if you get a chance, I'll probably finish them tonight.

That's where that info was excerpted from. William Hadzel's book. I might pick that book up after reading the article. Still good stuff, especially on the caddy engine. That piece will make a good perf platform in the future. A supercharged engine it had piston oil squirters built into it to cool the bottom of the pistons. I haven't read that article but it looked awsome. I can see the return of the caddy performance cars. Or maybe even an old chrysler conquest, with a new northstar and a big turbo on a tube chassis. Oh man I have a lot of good ideas sometimes
