Default TR224 W/ 1.75 Rockers ???

Is anyone else running this combination? I have had a very loud ticking from the valvetrain for a long time. 'have tried everything, want to go to an adjustable rocker set up, But the comp pro-mags only come in 1.75 not 1.7 ratio. Is this going to be to much with the fast ramps of the tr224. I am thinking about tring it, i have not seen any posts on worn valve guides in these ls1s yet.

Any input?

I think I't depend on the setup.

I recommend calling Thunder Racing. Ive been in jams and called them before and saved a lot of time by just calling instead of waiting for a reply from what could be a 17 year old kid. Just my .02 cents.

I forgot to say that I called thunder(I forget who I talked to) said they never ran that set up at that time with a TR224 and 1.75's, but with mine I't was with AFR's so they could not give me an answer.

is it the 563 ish lift tr224???
IF so you will only be in the 580ish range with 1.75 rockers...so it shouldnt be an issue...(I'm not sitting in fron of some valve events and lobe profiles to tell you for certain)
thats like doing the tsp224R.... just be sure to buy some dual springs to really handle it...though some comp 918's will do ok...just have to change the springs more often...and if you break a single...might as well be ready to shell out $$ for pistons and valves...like I said..safer to buy some duals..and they will last probably about 20k-30k miles on that cam...maybe even a little longer

and the loud ticking is probably because of improper lifter preload....common with aftermarket cams in ls1's..... everbody does 22ft/lbs with the stock rockers, but technically thats only proper preload on a stock cam...not a cam with a slightly smaller baase circle.... and 1.75's will make it louder if you dont do the lifter preload properly on them...make sure to follow the manufacturers recommended install procedure
