Default what should i look for in ignition

i was thinking about getting new ignition for my 2002 z28 and am going to put new heads and a new cam as well. what should i be looking for as far as that goes? should i even be looking at ignition at all? i'm a rookie to this game and am looking for advice from everyone at this forum all suggestions are welcome thanks.

the stock ignition on ls1's are awesome ... don't even worry bout it, just change out the plugs and you're good to go

definately don't change you ignition. There is nothing wrong with it as it is.

stock ignition and ngk tr55 plugs on h/c motor is fine
