When picking a big cam
I'll have to admit , i am guilty of just what WOT said. I have a DD with just under 70k and am new to modding my car. But after reading post after post, i've come to the conclusion that ALOT of 224/224 cam cars opt for bigger cams down the road. I know i'll be giving up some low end tq and some driving manners, but that's my choice. I bought a F13 cam and i know it's going to need tweaking, but that's why i drive this type of car.
I could play the safe bet on the 224, but why?
I'm not trying to flame anyone, i just don't understand how a mild set up is going to keep me pacified, when i see so many n/a h/c set ups on the street kicking out 450+.
If i'm missing something, please enlighten me.

Yeah I gotta agree with stark on that one. Being 16 nothing fasinates me more than going fast. I didn't get a LS1 to have ONLY 340hp......I'm still looking for my cam G5x3 on a 114 or a F14 on a 114. I don't mind changing my springs every 15k miles but i'm against flycutting. Its only a matter of time before i'll be telling my parents I need to put a cage in my car to go to the track.
