Default head questions

I have seen on a couple of other sites that changing heads can get you up to 435 HP.

I would like the brains here to inform me what kind of heads do what?

now i am talking just head replacement. A stock motor wothout ANY bolt ons. Can just heads get you to the low 400HP? If so....what kind of heads are they? what all do you need to do to them? What else do you need to do for a R/R head job. new computer? or just a chip?

just heads r not going to get u 400hp especially on an A4. Ls1's dont have a chip and u dont need a new computer just get the one the car has tuned or like they say reflashed. You need bolt ons and a good cam for the power u want.

Agreed. A mild heads and cam package will get you to about 400 RWHP. An agressive heads/cam package will get you to 460 RWHP or possibly more. There are many shades of gray in between. All will require standard boltons like long tube headers, exhaust, intake mods, and a custom tune.

Dont expect it to be cheap or easy. If thats what youre looking for, try a 125 dry shot.
