Default white foam

Anyone ever have a white foam form on the oil fill cap and tube? It almost looks like lith grease? What is it and what causes it?

Sounds like moisture in the oil.

Condensation in the oil.

Caused by not heating up the car all the way ( like a 15-20 minute ride to work ).

Very normal - I spent $$$ checking into it thinking something was wrong 2 years ago..

Hopefully it's just condensation, as has been said. Pull the dipstick and make sure your oil doesn't look like a milkshake. If so, you'll need to find the source of the coolant-to-oil leak right away (head gasket, cracked head, etc.).

Do you run a full PCV system? Running around on the street without a pcv system(especially in cold weather) can cause this. It happened to me....put the pcv back on and no more sprack in the oil cap.

Are you losing any water from your coolant tank? Have you checked?
