Default looking for CAM input, thanks JRP for your words of knowledge

ok to start off, the car is a 98z28 with an A4 with 3:23 gears. Car has Pacesetter LT's, ORYP, Lid, ported maf ends.

Im looking for a cam that will see little drag strip use, car is my daily driver. im also looking to get a stall convertor, so that will play a factor in cam choice. Someone I spoke to said a comp cams 226 would be a great cam for me. The stall im looking to get will be from 2600-3600, im not sure. Im looking at replacing pushrods, springs, buying an ls6 intake manifold and getting a double roller. The only other thing is i MUST pass smog in CA. I WILL NOT be changing the gears. MY goal is the most performance and hp out of the cam and still pass SMOG. I will be swapping the LT's for stock manifolds at time of Smog.

any input on CAM and stall will be greatly appreciated.

ya, the tried and true tr224 114 cam would be the perfect choice. you can try a few larger grinds but still keep the overlap in check.
