Default Final Milling question

I'm putting together a H/C pacakge for my 02 LS1. I have a quick question.

Heads are 5.3 with 2.02/1.575 Manley Pro Flos
Cam is Futral F14 (232/234 .598/.598 - 112-0)

I'm looking for max quinch, but I know I'm getting close to PtoV issues. I'm planning on claying the pistons before final torqueing.

OK, how much could I mill the heads if I plan on claying the pistons and then use the clay thickness to determine which head gaskets to run? (.040 " or .050")

I've been told 0.010" is the max safe cut if you just want to assmeble without checking tolorences.

TIA,

Tim

Any time you make a cam swap you need to check p/v clearance unless its a combo you have done a lot of like a crate engine.

Best way to check it????

I'm planning on running it through by hand with no gaskets and some clay on the pistons.
